BWCT Team up with Bolton Pride

Bolton Wanderers Community Trust recently teamed up with Bolton Pride Festival this year to offer an exciting and engaging Family Day on Sunday 22nd September.

The Trust has been working with Bolton Pride for a number of years, but this year, the we have really built on our partnership, working together to support a youth-led Hate Crime Awareness campaign and visiting Primary Schools across Bolton to positively promote Hate Crime Awareness and Bolton Pride Festival.

This year’s Bolton Pride Festival included a Family Fun Day on Sunday, and BWCT organised a fantastic Youth Hub for young people on Victoria Square and there were lots of engaging and interactive activities for children and young people to take part in.

The brand new Rainbow Hunt proved hugely popular, with people of all ages completing a treasure hunt to find hidden rainbow colours around the Festival. We teamed up with Asda to offer a goodie bag to those who successfully completed the hunt – these people were also entered into a prize draw to win some incredible prizes including Asda gift vouchers and a huge hamper of chocolate!

BWCT and Bolton Pride would like to thank Asda and their Community Champions for helping us with a grant to help fund this day, Bolton Council’s Youth Service for providing the Inflatable Archery, LGBT+ Youth Club participants for their help with the set-up and running of the day, the Bolton Pride volunteers for being amazing as ever and staff from BWCT for organising the Rainbow Hunt and Inflatable Football Dartboard.
