Bolton Wanderers Community Trust are delighted to be shortlisted for Community Club of the Year – All other leagues, at next weeks Northwest Football Awards.
The award is for the Northwest’s best Community Club outside of the Premier League and supported by the PFA. The Northwest Football Awards pay tribute to and recognise those who achieved footballing excellence both on and off the field in the 2018/19 season. They will take place from 6.30pm on Monday, 11th November at the Point, Emirates Old Trafford, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester.
Over the 2018/19 season, the Community Trust has worked with over 11,500 Bolton residents through 33 different projects to help narrow the gap of disadvantage in health, disability, education and inclusion. Projects such as our Extra Time Hub; a national initiative which aims to prevent loneliness and isolation amongst the over 55 age group, whilst promoting physical activity and improving health. And our Positive Chances project, which offers opportunities for looked after children to take part in activities that they would otherwise not be afforded the opportunity and provides them with the belief they can have a positive future.
The Community Trust continues to work at the heart of the community, helping people to realise their potential.
